Turkish novel "Death in Troy" now in English

This is the second book by the famed Turkish novelist Bilge Karasu that has been translated into English.

October 3, 2002 - The world's exposure to the delights of Turkish literature is growing, with the release in English of the latest novel by writer Bilge Karasu in English.

The novel, 'Troya'da Olum Vardi' translated as "Death in Troy" and brought out by American independent publishing house City Lights Books, is likely to be a success according to literature professor Aron Aji.

Aji, based in America, in translating another work by the author "Gocmus Kediler Bahcesi" (The Garden of Migrated Cats).

The American press has lavished praise on Karasu for his poetic language and beautiful images in Death of Troy and for the enchanting adventure it offers the readers.

Karasu's "Gece" (the Night), which won the Pegasus Literature Award, was brought out in English by the Louisiana State University Press.
