War talks create new job opportunities...

U.S. ARMY SUPPLIERS NEED TURKISH INTERPRETERS

Submitted by Murat Uzman     Date: 09 Feb 2003

Below is a job posting from Northrop Grumman:

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is pleased to announce potential openings for Turkish translators and interpreters to support the United States Army. These positions are for U.S. citizens only who are willing to live and work overseas as independent contractors.

The Turkish linguists will be offered competitive wages with a possibility for significant tax breaks for working outside of the United States. These jobs also give the translators an excellent opportunity to save money since lodging, meals, and transportation are provided by the military. Linguists fall under the protection of U.S. forces overseas, and are accepted as a member of the team by the units they support.

Candidates must undergo a security screening and background investigation in order to obtain a Department of Defense security clearance. In addition, they must pass language tests in both English and Turkish and pass a medical screening. Successful candidates will be offered a six months agreement that is extendable.

If you are interested in traveling to other parts of the world, supporting an important mission that is vital to national security, and building a sold resume, this is an opportunity you do not want to miss. Please send your resume to a Northrop Grumman Mission Systems by fax to 703-968-1276. You will be contacted for additional information immediately.
