Submitted by Atilla Soran Date: 12 Dec 2004
Help in identifying candidates for the Tashman Fellowship at Arizona State University. It is available to a worthy student of Turkish descent or current citizen of Turkey who wishes to obtain a Master's in Business Administration.
Mr. Haldun Tashman, a successful Arizona businessman who is a Turk himself, underwrites the Tashman Fellowship. It offers $30,000 per year for two years of fulltime MBA study at the W. P. Carey MBA Program at Arizona State University. The student will also receive, from the W. P. Carey School of Business (www.wpcarey.asu.edu), a waiver of non-resident tuition and a 10 hours/week graduate assistantship. In short, the fellowship should cover all the recipient's financial needs for two years.
Interested applicants must meet the criteria for entry into the W. P. Carey MBA Fulltime Program. They must have a minimum of two years professional work experience and must achieve a minimum score of 600 on the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT). Most importantly, the successful candidate will exhibit evidence of intense drive, business acumen and leadership skills as well as a willingness and commitment to someday help others pursue their educational dreams (e.g., to give back when s/he achieves success).
Please send the names and contact data for any persons you believe would be suitable candidates for the Tashman Fellowship to Rudy Pino, Director of Fulltime Admissions (rudy.pino@asu.edu). And please feel free to share this email with anyone you think could help us identify top-quality candidates for the fellowship. The deadline to apply for the fellowship is February 1, 2005.
